OUR STORY

Oak Creek Preserve began as a dream to create a place where both land and people could heal. Purchased by the Barber Family in 1991, the ranch was a working cattle operation for decades before Julie Anne took ownership in 2020. Since then, she has been building Oak Creek into a haven for regenerative farming, community connection, and nature-based wellness.

Set on 180 acres along the winding Oak Creek in Zolfo Springs, Florida, this small, family-operated ranch is a place where cows graze freely, flowers bloom brightly, and guests are invited to slow down and reconnect with what matters most.

ABOUT OAK CREEK PRESERVE

Oak Creek Preserve is a sanctuary for regenerative farming, wildlife conservation, and holistic wellness experiences. We’re committed to creating a thriving ecosystem—one that nourishes our cattle, supports native plants and pollinators, and invites visitors to feel at home in nature.

Our offerings include educational farm tours, seasonal events, yoga and healing arts workshops, and immersive outdoor experiences for all ages. Whether you’re here to meet our Highland cows, practice yoga under the oaks, or wander the flower fields, every visit is an invitation to connect—with the land, the animals, and yourself.

REGENERATIVE FARMING AND NATURE CONNECTION

Our cattle are raised on pasture using holistic, regenerative practices designed to restore soil health, improve biodiversity, and honor the natural rhythms of the land. We rotate our herds between pastures to give the grass time to rest and regenerate, mow strategically to manage weeds without chemicals, and maintain a GMO-free, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free operation.

In addition to cattle, Oak Creek is now home to an annual flower farm, where we grow blooms for fresh-cut bouquets, as well as herbs and flowers for tinctures, teas, and natural remedies. These fields not only bring beauty to the ranch but also support pollinators and offer guests another way to experience the abundance of the land.
